Click on any assignment already created
to edit, preview, assign to students, share
with other teachers, or view results.

Create Assignment
from Scratch
1. After logging in, click New Assignment.
2. Give the assignment a descriptive title.
3. Add questions and content.
Upload Assignment and
Insert Questions
1. After logging in, click New Assignment.
2. Choose the location of the content to
upload into Formative, allow Formative
Filepicker to connect
(Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
and select the file
or just drag the file into the area provided.
3.Follow the directions on the left to add
questions or response fields to the document.
Assign to Students
1. Log in, go to dashboard,
click on the assignment you wish to assign..
2. Click Assign to Students Choose a method for sharing: A) Share the direct link via your teacher webpage, email, or Edmodo group B) Have students go to goformative.com and
enter the quick code
View results
1. Log in, go to dashboard,
click on the assignment for which
you wish to view results.
2. Click LIve Results.
*Scroll down to see each student response
*Navigate to next question via question
number at the top
*Click Full Detail or Summary View
to change from all responses for one
question to overview for all questions
for each student.
*Click Export to view/save results as
an Excel file.
Set Answer Key
Either:
1. Indicate correct answer when creating
a question by selecting the radio button.
2. Click on Set a Key above responses in
Live Results
Score
Type an Answer and
Draw it! Questions
(partial credit can be awarded)
1. Log in, go to dashboard,
click on LIve Results.
2. Click in empty box in top right corner of
response.
3. Click anywhere on the scale to indicate
number of points earned.
4. Click off of the pop-up where points were
assigned to save.
Share Assignments
withother Teachers
1. Log in, go to dashboard,
click on assignment you wish to share with
other teachers.
2. Click Share with Teachers
3. Copy quick code and/or link and email to
teacher OR set up a Google Spreadsheet for
your team, share access, and allow all
team members to contribute links or quick
codes for assignments created.
